The MC20 torque arm rotary actuator was specifically designed for continuous duty modulating damper drives. Easy to install, the complete unit is keyed to the damper input shaft and bolted directly to the damper frame or through a mounting yoke.

All cyclical loads are transferred to the cylinder through the built-in torque arm.

Hydraulic cylinders are better suited for continuous cyclical loading because of larger stress supporting areas compared to gear mechanisms such as rack and pinion actuators.

These actuators are completely self contained and also well suited for on/off, high torque, 1/4 turn valve actuation, for butterfly, and ball valves. A standard feature includes ‘fail last’ and will hold any load within the relief stage setting of the integral load holding valve.

Rotary indicators with 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc output for PID radial positioning is available, or end of travel limit switches.
